I am broadly interested in fluid dynamics as they pertain to environmental and climate processes. My current research investigates heat transport processes in the Arctic Ocean, as well as ice-ocean dynamics on ice-covered moons in the solar system. I am also interested in the ventilation of buildings, and how fluid dynamics may be used to develop more sustainable buildings with cleaner air.
